5 systems in 1 (ERP, IMS, CMS, POS, CRM)

Luxury Watches ERP

All-in-one ERP for a luxury watch dealership — inventory, point of sale, content management, and client relations in one system, with a companion mobile dashboard for owners.

The Problem

A luxury watch dealership needed to run every side of the business — inventory, sales, client relationships, and web content — without stitching together separate applications for each. Watches are high-value, individually tracked items (serial numbers, certificates, provenance), and the business needed one system that could handle that level of detail while also giving the dealership owner a clear, at-a-glance view of monthly performance.

The Solution

I built an ERP-level platform converging five systems into one: enterprise resource planning, inventory management, content management, point of sale, and client relationship management — all on ASP.NET MVC/Web API with a SQL Server backend. A web admin dashboard gives full operational control, while a companion mobile app puts the dealership's key numbers — watches sold, current profit, turnover, watches purchased — directly in the owner's pocket.

Key Features

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) — a central dashboard aggregating sales, profit, and turnover figures for both the current and previous month, so the business's overall health is visible at a glance.

Inventory Management System (IMS) — each watch is tracked as an individual, detailed record — brand, serial number, certificate, and provenance details — not just a generic stock count, matching how high-value luxury inventory actually needs to be managed.

Content Management System (CMS) — the dealership can manage its own product listings and content without needing a developer for every update.

Point of Sale (POS) — sales are recorded directly against inventory, so a sold watch is reflected immediately in stock and revenue figures.

Client Relationship Management (CRM) — customer records and purchase history are tracked so the dealership can manage repeat clients and their preferences, not just one-off transactions.

Mobile dashboard — a companion mobile app surfaces the same key metrics (watches sold, current profit, turnover, watches purchased) for this month and last month, so the owner isn't tied to a desktop to check performance.

Technical Highlights

Built on ASP.NET MVC and ASP.NET Web API over the .NET Framework, with SQL Server handling the relational data across all five converged systems — inventory, sales, clients, and content all reference the same underlying data model rather than living in separate disconnected databases, which is what makes the single ERP dashboard possible in the first place.

Results

The dealership now runs its entire operation — inventory, sales, client relationships, and content — from one system instead of juggling separate tools for each function, with both a full web admin dashboard and a mobile app giving ownership visibility into performance without needing to be at a desk.

FAQ

Why does a watch dealership need five systems combined instead of separate tools?
Because inventory, sales, clients, and content all reference the same underlying data — a sale affects inventory count and revenue at once, and a client's purchase history matters for both CRM and future sales. Keeping them in one system means every part reflects the same real-time data instead of being manually reconciled across separate tools.

How is watch inventory tracked differently from typical retail inventory?
Each watch is tracked as an individual record with its own brand, serial number, and certificate details — reflecting that luxury watches are high-value, individually identifiable items, not interchangeable stock counted in bulk.

What can the dealership owner see on the mobile app specifically?
Key performance numbers for the current and previous month — watches sold, current profit, current turnover, and watches purchased — giving a quick health check without logging into the full web dashboard.

Does making a sale through the POS automatically update inventory?
Yes — sales are recorded directly against the inventory system, so a sold watch is reflected immediately in both stock levels and the dashboard's revenue and turnover figures, rather than requiring a separate manual inventory update.

Can the dealership manage their own product listings without a developer?
Yes — the built-in content management system lets staff update product listings and content directly, rather than needing a developer involved for routine catalog changes.
